Monitor and engage in advocacy around the following World Bank-funded project: Nepal Strategic Road Connectivity and Trade Improvement

Background: TPO Alliance has relevant experience in monitoring for and responding to child sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) in Bank projects, as well as extensive experience in conducting psychosocial work in the Nepali context. SEA is a sensitive topic and can be more easily approached by organizations with both the technical capacity and cultural understanding to help survivors and their families feel comfortable disclosing any cases that arise.

By providing regular updates on implementation, TPO will bridge the gap between the project beneficiaries and implementers. The guidance and information provided by TPO will be critical to assessing the Bank’s ability to manage child SEA risks and any cases that may arise in the course of project work.

Objectives:

The objective of involvement in the project monitoring is to evaluate the design and implementation of child SEA prevention, mitigation, and response measures and provide regular feedback to the World Bank, the Government of Nepal, and Joining Forces. Through joining forces, TPO will have a direct line to the responsible task team and Nepali government officials, who will be operating with additional guidance from the CPC network.
